Clan Armory Registry

Sadly, due to failing health, both Wizzenheimer and Monkey's Uncle have donated all their belongings to the clan, and have departed, exiting stage left in order to leave this world peacefully.

Their close cousin, Dangnabit, has decided to take up the mantle, and will be training for arena battles after garnering enough cards to survive. Shortly, he will be requesting membership in the guild of his former cousins.

As the lead of this motely crew, I just thought I'd keep you all up to date.

I've noticed that we haven't exactly been following Armory protocol.

For example, one of our newer members is a Level 49 character:

This character has requested several quest items that we only had 1 of, or very few of. And been granted them, despite not signing up here.

I'd suggest that we do NOT give out any quest items until we get 100 of them in the armory. Any quest item can be won by questing by each individual character anyway, and none of them give financial gains better than other items that could be requested. Since we can't buy them, quest items are much harder to restock.

As for other items, they should probably go ahead and sign up here, as is the clan policy... even for level 49 characters.

I have noticed some higher lvls requesting items from the shop that we don't have, when i deny those i make sure to do a follow up message inviting them to register.

Now that The BGL has the largest armory in the land, and has a good number of wealthy, accountant-wielding members, I vote we change our armory rules a bit.

My suggestion is to allow anyone who has posted their character names in the Clan Armory Registry thread to have access to every weapon, with 1 exception. The 1 exception: no quest items can be given out. I don't think the exception would hinder members' growth, as their are better items available by request at every level. I suggest that we don't give them out as they can't be purchased to restock.

Interesting thought. I agree about the quest items. A minimum of level 5 or 10 and/or a minimum clan time membership might be considered if weapons are opened up . A character would then be able to save for stronger magic spells or training. Fewer inventory items would be needed as any reasonably intelligent character would select the best weapons they could get. Does your idea include armor?

How much trouble is it to send a general clan message? If practical, another option is to open weapons for a limited time periodically after a general message to clan members. Could temporary BGL membership to gain top weapons be a potential problem? Would that matter?

Chris334 is now supplying clan weapons (while looking for that Full House Trophy) and, being a very generous person is open to sharing.

Clan messages are easy to send. I just need to know what the involved party wants to get out. I'm not against idea of opening our armory, and restricting quest items wouldn't be a problem as they aren't always the best item you an get at level anyway.

Doesn't the game automatically block transfer of "out of level' weapons?

There is a glitch to get around that block by automatically putting in the URL for the request instead of hitting the button. Doesn't seem like they've fixed it yet either.
