Has it Ended Yet?

Has the war ended yet no attacks have been informed by our members?

I think it's just faded from collective memory and those who are getting attacked are just chalking it up to being searched in the arena.

Personally I just stopped mentioning it because it seems the clan isn't much interested in sticking up for eachother, or retaliating for daily attacks from certain people. Not sure if anyone else feels the same way, but thats my 2 cents.

I don't know that I would say that the clan doesn't stick up for it's members. The attacks just aren't really what I saw the so-called "War" to be about. There was plenty of bickering that was going on that probably pre-dated my joining the clan, but what I considered the obvious straight-out "attack" was when Chronikpain infiltrated the clan, befriended BGL Dave to the point that Dave trusted him with managing the Clan, only to have Chronikpain turn around and use that trust against us - robbing us of our coconuts and taking them with him to CoZ. That is what I saw as an act of war, if anything. Do I get attacked on a daily basis? Yes, but mainly because my character is not equipped to defend itself against a lvl 17 with a 950 Attack bonus. I wouldn't expect anyone here to go out and attack him back as such, either. I have "Battle-toons" that I use strictly for battle for the purpose of earning Zorkmids, and unfortunate for those that I choose, they are severly unequipped to defend themselves against me because I'm in it for the sure-win.

Is that wrong? I don't think so. It's just the nature of the game - If adventuring and exploring earned you as many Zorkmids as betting on the outcome of a battle, then you wouldn't have this, which is the reason I'm not all that concerned about someone who continuously bashes one of my guys. If you're concerned about losing fame, that's what The St. Quakko's Protection Charm is for - to protect you from losing your fame when you get attacked by a "bully".

As far as Chronikpain is concerned, I followed the advice that BGL Dave gave and contacted Jolt on the matter, and they did exactly what I expected given the many other similar games that I play......nothing. Well, to be fair, nothing that I am aware of, at least.

So what do we do next? Well, we already banded together and replenished the coconuts that were stolen. We have a great leader in Ginzaki, who seems determined to do all in his power to help us out wherever he can. As for me? I plan on adding a couple of entries in this great forum we have to help fellow Clansmen with whatever needs they have as well. Does that mean helping start another war? I certainly hope not - but I will do whatever I can to defend the Clan in the event that we are attacked again.

Don't get me wrong I don't think we should retaliate against every person that ever attacks a BGL member. My problem is with people like Chronikpain, Ash Phoenix, and various others. People who go beyond just attacking our clan members, but who rob the clan, or who attack specific members every day just to harass and/or mock them. I'll give a few examples. Chronik I think should be made to pay for his thievery for obvious reasons. Ash Phoenix attacks just to be a jerk and continually taunts with the fact that he left several toons in BGL as spies and to get free gear from the armory. I think it is a mistake to ignore people like Chronik, and Ash and let them be a-holes with no reprisals.

Don't get me wrong I think Chronik needs to be brought to justice, but from all I have gathered he is not allied with CoZ. They did not benefit from his theft. He seems to have worked alone, but I got a message from the leader of the Blackguard letting me know that Chronikpain is now allied to them and asking for advice on handling him.

Chronikpain had been doing some attacks on me. I'm sad to say he had been beating me but the attacks have ceased. I wonder why?

Hmm... not surprised a thief joins a clan of thieves a bit expected actually.

Ah shucks, we're always here for a friendly avenging Blazax! :-) I'm currently working on getting all of my characters between level 7-28 up to 100 Gambit, so they should be able to assist in most sticky situations.

Personally, I think the idea of a 'war' in this game is pretty silly. It's not like the game keeps tabs on which clan is hitting which clan. I could tell you the number of victories and loses both we and the CoZ have had since the 'war' started, but it doesn't really prove anything except that we have more battlers (and kudos to our battlers for winning more than double the amount of fights than the CoZ has since the 'war' started!)

I think the Chronik situation... well, it was a big shame. He was a good gamer and would have been a good asset to The BGL in any other position other than leader. I was torn between naming Ginzaki or Chronik the leader... fortunately I was given a chance to amend the first mistake.

I think it'd be hard for many in The BGL to forgive what Chronik did, but I can. Being an effective leader of a clan this size isn't an easy job and the expectations for the position may have been too much. I'd like to hear his side of the story sometime. To be honest, I'm slightly surprised that he started playing the game again after all that went down.

It should be noted that while they did drag down our win percent the CoZ win percent is down as well. Just a fun fact.

This war is really frustrating me! This war has prevented me from getting any good fights in the arena some days my inbox is stuffed with defeated battles! There's sometimes at least 2 that I had won! We need to settle an agreement. Does anyone agree with this? THis war has to end.
