The BGL, What Inspired you to Make it?

I always wondered BGL Dave, what made you want to make this clan? Did it just come? Did you feel sorry for the beginners of Zork hanging out at the Whitehouse? Or did someone give you the idea?

I would like to know as well. I've read the lore, but that seems a little too whimsical.

:-) You're going to get a kick out of what the letters B-G-L originally were going to mean :-) I need to jump off of here now, but I'll try to remember to post more here later, or, at the very least, private message you later.

I might start working on another chapter of the lore... I got some pretty good responses from clan members when I sent the first annal out. We could always give clan members an opportunity to do this too... might make for a nice creative contest... they could post things on this board somewhere and the overseers could vote for their favorite(s).

Hopefully more members start checking this board out and bookmark it... there's a lot more entertaining things going on here than the clan message board.

I try to help push traffic here wherever I can - as clan Warrior as I'm going through requests, every time I have to deny an Armory request, I include a link to the Armory Policies entry under FAQ and thrown an occasional entry in on the Chat section to make sure it's visible.

Cmon Dave, let's hear what the original BGL meant. Or maybe we create versions as that next clan contest like you mention... Can't we do polling here so everyone can vote?

also, you said something about an original chapter of clan lore...it was sent out before my time or I haven't read back far enough on the LoZ message board to find it. Anyway, what about moving that to a sticky on the FAQ page? I think it would be a nice item - make it a closed topic that takes no comments, and we can add to it as needed.

Nothing like some clan lore to inspire loyalty and make the BGL more fun.

Shoot, I may even create my own character history... (yes that was a hint for yet another clan contest).
